Epernay Champagne Tour Highlights
Boarding your train at Gare d'Est in Paris, you'll be bound for the Champagne region of France, where Dom Perignon, father of the house of Moet and Chandon, started it all. Upon arrival in the city of Reims, you'll start the day with a drive through the charming Champagne countryside en route to the town of Epernay. Your first destination is the historic Moet and Chandon cellars where you will have a tour and champagne tasting. Afterwards, you'll enjoy another champagne tasting and lunch in Epernay. During lunch, you'll learn all about champagne with a historical overview of the main terroirs of the region and also the development of the three different kinds of champagne.

Next, you'll travel to the Marne Valley and the former Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers, where Dom Perignon is buried. Lastly, with over 1,000 small producers in the region, no visit to Champagne is complete without a tour and tasting at a small family-owned vineyard.

After the last tasting you'll take the train back to Paris in perfect time for dinner, or dare we say, more champagne.
