About the Paradis Latin Cabaret

In 1802 Napoleon Bonaparte, as First Consul of France, ordered that a theater be build on the rue des Fosses-Saint-Victor. The theater was dubbed Theater Latin.

In 1870 the theater, and its fabled lower level salon, was destroyed in a fire during the Franco-Prussian war. Gustave Eiffel was tasked with restoring the theater in preparation for the 1889 World's Fair. The new theater was named Le Paradis Latin and was very active until the 1930's.

The theater went dark from the mid-1930's until 1977 when the theater was refurbished and Paradis Latin Cabaret was born.

The current production of the Paradis Latin Cabaret is conceived and directed by master showman Christian Dura.

The theme of this years show is the "magical garden." The theater is transformed throughout the show into an enchanted carrousel, a masked ball, with a mix of lavish fanfare and modern ballet pieces.

The beautiful vibrant dancers along with guest performance artists deliver an unforgettable night of revere and pleasure.
