A one, two, or three night excursion to Bordeaux to enjoy the wine country

Enjoy an overnight stay and a full day wine tasting adventure to either the Medoc or St. Emilion appellations in Bordeaux.

Price (per person): $230.00, $408 with 2nd class rail, and $508.00, With 1st class rail

Clients will need to spend the night in Bordeaux the evening before your tour. Hotel not included in price. Tour runs May-October. Please contact us if traveling to Bordeaux during the off-season.

Tour Itinerary

Saint EmilionWe offer three ways to explore the city of Bordeaux and its amazing wines.

Please note: travelers wishing to take the day trip to Bordeaux option must spend the night in Bordeaux the night before the tour*.

Day One - Leave Gare Montparnasse during the day for the 3 hour and 15 minute train ride to Bordeaux. Check in to your hotel conveniently located near the central rail station. Free night on your own for wine tasting, exploration, and dinner.

Day Two - Take our full day semi-private tour to experience your choice of appelations: either Medoc or St. Emilion. (After: hotel in Bordeaux or rail back to Paris [arrives back in Paris at 10:36 pm])

Day Three - Rail back to Paris or take a second full day semi-private tour to experience either Medoc or St. Emilion. (After: hotel in Bordeaux or rail back to Paris [arrives back in Paris at 10:36 pm])

Day Four (if applicable) - Rail back to Paris

* - Unfortunately, it is very difficult to see Bordeaux without staying overnight in the city. We can arrange a private one day trip if desired, but please note that you'll leave your hotel at 5:30 am and return to Paris at around 10:30 am

Tour Choices

Bordeaux day trip1855 Classified Growth Châteaux of the Médoc

(9 hours) From: 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays in May, June, July, September and October

Visit three different classified growth châteaux in different appellations in the Médoc. Learn about the technical and scientific aspects of great wine making - before, of course, a tasting at each château.

During the day we will follow the 'Route des Chateaux' which will take us past Château Palmer, Château Margaux or Château Pichon Longueville. (Lunch not included)

Saint EmilionGrand Cru Châteaux and St. Emilion

(9 hours) From: 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. Wednesdays and Fridays in May, June, July, September and October

Visit the enchanting town of St. Emilion for a wine tasting and tour of the underground monuments, monolithic church and hermitage.

Afterwards, you'll have some free time to explore St. Emilion and have lunch. Then it is off to two more Classified Growth Châteaux for a tour and more wine tasting. You'll learn more about fine wine making in Bordeaux and the St. Emilion appellation. (Lunch not included)
