Custom D-Day Tour Itinerary:
You choose what you want to see. A typical itinerary includes the following Normandy sites:
Saint Lo
Saint Mare Eglise
Utah Beach
Omaha Beach
Harbor at Arromanches
German gun battery
American Cemetery
Pointe du Hoc
Pegasus Bridge (time permitting)
There is a substantial walk and talk at each location with your knowledgeable driver/guide.
Admissions at museums are not included, but are nominally priced.
Many clients skip all museums except the museum at Arromanches to see the 360 degree D-Day movie.
Later in the afternoon, some destinations can be skipped in order to see the Bayeux Tapestry and Bayeux Cathedral if desired.
Clients typically will
take the morning train from Paris to Carentan, arriving at 9:30. They'll go back to Paris via the 6:40 train from Caen or 7:20 from Bayeux. Rail is $90 or $134 per person round trip depending on class.
Overnights or Multi-Day Tours
An overnight option is suggested, with room rates starting at $80 (based on double occupancy) per night for a charming 2 star hotel, with breakfast.
