A private car/mini-van is by far the most convenient as you and your group are the sole focus of the driver's time. Shared rides are fine, but plan on hitting two or three stops in or out of Paris to pick up other passengers. Taking the train (RER) is also an option. However, for those traveling with heavy luggage this option, with plenty of stairs, cobblestones and long hallways, is not relaxing. If you do opt to take the train, be sure and choose the express from Gare Du Nord to CDG.
