Champagne Tour Highlights
Anyone drinking bubbly wine anywhere in the world calls it Champagne. But only the sparklers from the beautiful Champagne region of France are the real thing. Join linkparis for a wonderful day trip to the region, located an 80 minute train ride from Paris. Boarding at Gare d’Est, you’ll be bound for Epernay, where Dom Perignon, father of the house of Moet and Chandon, started it all. Moet is the wine of choice at coronations, film festivals, state dinners and probably your own parties. . .

The town of Epernay from afar
Upon arrival, you’ll be personally met, then join the 8 person van for an English only tour, starting with a drive through along the famed Scenic Champagne Route, taking in the landscape and learning the story of such famed houses as Bollinger, Deutz and Gosset. Your morning finishes with a tour and tasting at the Moet and Chandon cellars, including a taste of Dom Perignon.
This special day continues with a champagne tasting and lunch, with a great historical overview covering the special world of Champagne: Blanc de blancs, Blanc de noirs and Rosé, and learning the main terroirs of the Champagne region (Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blanc).
After lunch, you’ll travel to the Marne Valey and the former Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers, where Dom Perignon is buried. With 1000 small producers in the region, no visit is complete without touring a small family-owned vineyard and chateau, where you will experience a final tasting, applying all your newfound knowledge!
You’ll be back in Paris in the early evening, ready for dinner and still savoring the tastes of the region.
